GREAT SPIRIT had another GREAT YEAR. We began the year with BleuRoyal Red Camo “Comando” X Dreamstreet’s Let’s Party Barbi “Party” and the birth of our Great Spirit’s Life of the Party, “Spirit”. During 2016 "Spirit" won multiple BBP.

At Nationals 2016 GREAT SPIRIT has earned 3 CONFORMATION PLACEMENTS at NATIONALS PRE-SHOW!!!!! …TWO, OWNER HANDLED!! ASCA A-BBX ptd. Great Spirit Wind Walker, CGC “Malila” earned “2nd”and “3rd” in A-BBX at Nationals Pre-Show 2016 in Canby, Oregon! AKC/ASCA ptd. BleuRoyal’s Red Camo “Comando” took a 4th with Kory out of a large group of nice red merles. AKC ptd., ASCA CH, INTERNATIONAL CH, Great Spirit’s Call Me Maybe “May” looked great in with the specials in the evening showing with Kory Wykoff and Great Spirit’s Life of The Party “Spirit” looked amazing showing in 6-9 mos. with Kory.

In 2016 we had our Fairoaks Australian shepherd performance dogs join us at Great Spirit. Martha May and Ruby enjoyed participating in AKC Dock Diving and herding activities and we continue to enjoy them very much.

We had TWO NEW INTERNATIONAL CH in 2016: AKC. Pdt., ASCA Mjr. Ptd., INT. Ch BleuRoyal Double Trouble, CGC "Gaucho" and AKC Pdt., ASCA Mjr. Ptd. Int. CH BleuRoyal Red Camo "Comando" both earned their INT. CH. Malila is ASCA Alt.Ptd. Ch, INT. Ch. Great Spirit’s Wind Walker, CGC “Malila”...look for Malila to enjoy more A-ASCA shows for 2017 as we hope for altered majors to finish her ASCA championship.

AKC ptd., ASCA CH, INT. CH, Great Spirit’s Call Me Maybe “May” was mutiple AKC WB this year, and hopefully, will finish her AKC in 2017. Our “Comando” was multiple times WD and is AKC Ptd. and ASCA Mjr. Ptd. Red Camo “Comando” shown with Kory Wyckoff.

In October, AKC ptd. ASCA mjr. Ptd. BleuRoyal Double Trouble, CGC “Gaucho” X AKC Multiple BBX Great Spirit’s Cowgirl At Heart, CGC “Annie” after 3 years, “Annie” had her 2nd litter, this time a singleton, Great Spirit’s Little Sure Shot “Phoebe”. We have thoroughly enjoyed watching Phoebe grow. Look for Phoebe to participate in conformation and performance activities.

STEVE REAU was working hard behind the scenes, washing and grooming dogs & managing the home team. Our trainer, Ronda Fischer, is amazing and wonderful, and helped tremendously with training the dogs this year.

What can we expect for 2017? We will hope for continued success in conformation & agility trials & perhaps a new Great Spirit AKC/ASCA champion; and then hopefully, a show pup from Great Spirit’s Call Me Maybe “May” for 2017. We have found the perfect sire for May, and we cannot wait to see what the future brings. But, for now, shh, it's a secret.

I was so happy and delighted that he did that for me.

GREAT SPIRIT Australian shepherds had another GREAT YEAR
GREAT SPIRIT has earned 5 NEW CONFORMATION TITLES!!!!! …all OWNER HANDLED!!

   “May” has earned “2” Championships this year! ASCA CH, INTERNATIONAL CH, Great Spirit’s Call Me Maybe “May”. May earned her ASCA CH with THREE 5 POINT MAJORS and ONE 4 POINT MAJOR and taking “TWO” BEST OF WINNERS! At the International Dog Show on the 4th of July, at the Enumclaw show, “May” went INTERNATIONAL BEST-IN-SHOW BRED-BY in a huge group of outstanding competition! “May was also, AKC BEST BRED-BY EXIBITOR at Richfield, Vancouver.

   “Oh! Zana” finished her show career, and picked up a new tile, and is now, ASCA CH, INTERNATIONAL CH Moon Valley’s Oh! Zana, CGC. “Oh! Zana - the reserve Queen” has needed just one more major to finish her AKC CH.

   Annie who has won numerous, Best Bred-By Exhibitor, was at it again, picking up another BEST BRED-BY EXIBITOR and is now, INTERNATIONAL CH, Great Spirit’s Cowgirl At Heart, CGC “Annie”.

    NOT to be out done, “Malila” had her first NADAC agility trial and Q’d in both trials and came in 1st!! Malila is now ASCA Alt.Ptd. & NEW ALTERED INTERNATIONAL CH, Great Spirit’s Wind Walker, CGC “Malila”. Malila went A-ASCA WB in her first show out in five years! Then at the International Show, Malila, went INTERNATIONAL RESERVE ALTERED BEST IN SHOW, “TWICE”!!

   Our BleuRoyal Comando & Gaucho were out running, too… BleuRoyal’s AKC Mjr. Ptd. Red Camo “Comando” was ASCA’s WD with Kory Wyckoff, and RWD at Enumclaw’s AKC SPECIALITY SHOW with Sammie’s team.

   STEVE REAU was working hard behind the scenes, washing and grooming dogs & managing the home team. Our trainer, Ronda Fischer, is amazing and wonderful, and deserves an applause for our success with the dogs this year.
